Stephen Shang, Owner & CEO
Stephen attended The University of Texas in Austin where he earned a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering. After graduating, he began his career as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company serving clients in Texas, Mexico, and South Africa.
In the mid-90s, Stephen worked with Bellmeade Capital Partners, a group of Houston investors focused on using both public and private capital to acquire companies in consolidating industries.
From there, he moved on to serve as Chief Financial Officer / VP Finance for three technology companies, starting with AthletesVillage.com, a Phoenix based sports portal. Next, Stephen worked with Kibu, a Silicon Valley based cross-media company. Finally, he joined Cygent, a telecom software company based in San Francisco serving customers such as BellSouth, Genuity, Qwest, Worldcom, and Telecom Italia.
After gaining valuable experience in the business world, Stephen moved back to Central Texas and co-founded Falcon Storage with a focus on serving his community and helping its people adapt to change.
He has served on the City of Austin Parks and Recreation Board, Rotary Club of Austin and the Entrepreneurs’ Organization. Stephen is a guest lecturer at the University of Texas McComb’s School of Business and has been featured on the local television show “Austin Stars of Business.”
Stephen and his wife are active members of First Evangelical Free Church. They spend their time enjoying the great oudoors, traveling, and hanging out with their friends in the wonderful city of Austin.
Brian Dieringer, Owner
Brian is a native Austinite who grew up attending UT football games when the field was only "Astroturf" and they let kids run around on it after the games. He also spent lots of time at Zilker Park, Laguna Gloria Art Museum, and maybe a couple of Willy's Picnics.
After earning an engineering degree from The University of Texas, Brian went into the energy industry, where he took on roles ranging from managing technical projects to providing structured financial products for independent oil and gas producers.
With the advent of the tech boom, Brian moved into a leadership role at an electronic commerce start-up working primarily on international business development, and when the company was sold to a Seattle firm, he and his family took the opportunity to move back to the Austin area. As the tech bubble was bursting, he and Stephen began collaborating on building a business where they could serve real-world customers with an easy-to-understand product: It's a Box! You put stuff in it!
Brian and his wife of over 14 years are happily living in Georgetown, Texas. They and their four children are active in their church, especially in the music program. Brian has served on the board of the Rotary Club of Georgetown and is active in vocational service and youth leadership development.
